I made two trips to the Palm Spring area (with interesting results) in the past few months. Both times, my trusty Triumph Dining Guide (http://www.triumphdining.com/ ) came along. I'll be sharing my food finds and Triumph Dining Guide experience in the next few posts here. I was test-driving the Guide, with the objective of writing a review.
First trip, I drove down, with a stop in the Sacramento CA area to see a friend in El Dorado Hills.
Scott's Seafood (www.scottsseafood.net) in Folsom was expensive and great. Our server "spoke gluten" and took marvelous care of us as we savored each course and tried to catch each other up on what transpired in the three years since we'd last gotten together. I know spending time with my dear friend made the evening memorable, but the food held its own and more.
I'd love to have one nearby to treat myself occasionally. Definitely a place I'd go back to when I'm back in that area. The Triumph Dining Guide lists two other Scott's locations in Sacramento. The Guide didn't include other California Scott's Seafood restaurants, but a Google search came up with others around the State. Years ago, I ate at the original Scott's Seafood in San Francisco and loved it.
Triumph Dining Guide's site has much more than "just" the Guide -- a great blog (http://www.triumphdining.com/blog/ ), The Essential Gluten Free Grocery Guide, a Gluten-Free Sticker Kit, Dining Cards, and other resources.
